Since Qualcomm’s new processor has the primary Cortex-X4 core found in the Snapdragon 8 series, it aims to offer superior performance to users by bringing the latest artificial intelligence capabilities to the phones it will power. In addition, according to the announcements made by the company, Snapdragon 7+ Gen 3 offers 15 percent and 45 percent more CPU and Adreno graphics performance, respectively, compared to its previous versions.

Aside from higher performance, it is said that the power consumption of the processor is 5 percent less than its predecessor, extending the battery life of the phones. The new chipset has 8 cores, including 1 2.8GHz Cortex-X4, 4 2.6GHz A720, and 3 1.9GHz Cortex-A520.

Moreover, Qualcomm does not omit the latest technologies used in the Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 processor in this chipset and offers Wi-Fi 7 support up to 5.8 Gbps to users.

According to the report shared by 91mobiles, it reveals the first smartphones to come with Snapdragon 8s Gen 3.

Talking about artificial intelligence features, Snapdragon 7+ Gen 3 with 4nm processor technology comes with support for large language models (LLM) and wide view models (LVM) such as Baichuan-7B, Llama 2, Gemini Nano, and Zhipu ChatGLM.

However, the new processor has a refresh rate of up to 240Hz and 4K 60Hz, QHD + 120Hz display support. In addition, the chipset, which enables up to 24GB of LPDDR5X type memory, has UFS 4.0 storage support. The first phone to use Snapdragon 7+ Gen 3 was OnePlus Ace 3V.
