Samsung may continue the Galaxy S24 series with Exynos processor
The Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 processor, introduced in 2022, exceeded expectations in terms of performance. Qualcomm, in cooperation with Samsung, produced the Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 model exclusive to the Galaxy S23 series.
The Samsung Galaxy S23 series will be introduced with the Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 modified by Qualcomm for Samsung. The performance core, which is 3.2GHz in the standard Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 processors, will be increased to 3.36GHz in the Samsung Galaxy S23 family. The other cores of the processor will run at 2.8GHz and 2.0GHz frequencies.
According to the published report, Samsung will continue with the Snapdragon 8 series until it solves the performance problem in Exynos processors. Analysts predict that the company will again take the stage with Exynos processors in the Galaxy S24 series.
According to South Korean Vampire King, Samsung has started working to use Exynos processors in its flagship models again. The Galaxy S24 family, which will be introduced in 2024, will be powered by the Exynos 2400 processor. As in previous years, it is estimated that the company will launch versions with both Snapdragon and Exynos processors.
It is among the leaked information that Samsung has made structural changes in the team that makes the in-house chipsets. Samsung’s Exynos chips were designed by the company’s System LSI arm. It seems that Samsung’s smartphone division has assembled its own team of engineers for a high-end chipset that will be developed specifically for Galaxy smartphones and tablets.
