Earlier this year, the Texas Blockchain Council officially offered its support for the re-election of BTC-friendly governor Greg Abott in the state of Texas in a statement.

Lee Bratcher, chairman of the Texas Blockchain Council, said in a statement:

“Governor Abott understands that actions like overregulation and increased taxation can hurt a growing economy.

Under his leadership, Texas will continue to be a hub for growing companies, expanding families, and 21st century innovation.”

Bratcher also said that Texas governor Abott “understands that the future of technology will grow around Bitcoin and Blockchain.”

It is known that Governor Abbot did not hesitate to voice his support for the BTC industry. On June 4, 2021, Abbot passed a bill for Texas to take advantage of this growing industry.
