Cryptocurrencies Answering the question of whether it is permissible or not, Erbaş said that they cannot say that cryptocurrencies are “permissible” for the time being.
“Cryptocurrency cannot be said to be permissible. We cannot say that cryptocurrencies are permissible because they are not reliable and open to abuse.
We gave this to one of our assistant experts as a thesis topic. One of our professors is preparing this as a thesis. But as of now, we cannot say whether it is permissible or not for cryptocurrencies.”
If we recall, the Presidency of Religious Affairs stated that cryptocurrencies are not permissible in the statement made in the past years.
