‘Permissions’ Section Removed from Play Store Returns

While the privacy of our data has gained great importance recently, application stores have also introduced some innovations in line with this sensitivity. One of them was that we could examine the permissions requested by the applications in the stores in detail before downloading the application. But Google made a remarkable move on this issue last week.

In the post made from the Android Developers (Android Developers) official Twitter account, the company said that the ‘Permissions’ section will go back to the app store shared. In the shared statement, “The data security section provides users with a simplified view of how an app collects, shares and secures user data, but we also want to make app permission information easily viewable so that users understand an app’s ability to access certain restricted data and actions.” Statements were included.

The Data Security section on the Google Play Store was announced in May 2021 and launched in April this year. Application developers have to provide information on what they do with the user data they collect in this section. While this section is being filled in by the developers, Google does not make any distinctions between the information presented and the fact. in case of incompatibility taking action against it.
