Oppo introduced its new technologies at the ‘INNO DAY 2022’ event

OPPO performed the online live broadcast of Oppo INNO DAY 2022, the technology event it organizes every year. In the event, which was held with the theme of ‘Empowering a Better Future’, new technologies developed within the scope of OPPO’s Four Smart Initiatives consisting of smart entertainment, smart productivity, smart health and smart learning were introduced.

Oppo dedicates significant resources to developing smart health technologies as part of its Four Smart Initiatives. Founded OPPO Health Lab in 2021 to develop proactive approaches that help users create healthy lifestyles, OPPO this year developed OHealth, the company’s new smart healthcare sub-brand.

Combining six health data monitoring functions for family members in a single device, OHealth H1 performs blood oxygen level measurement, ECG, heart and lung auscultation, pulse measurement, body temperature measurement and sleep monitoring.

OPPO Find N2 Flip, which had a live view and key features before, has now appeared in performance tests.

OHealth H1 users will be able to monitor the health of all family members more closely, thanks to high-precision sensors and industry-leading health algorithms. With aesthetically rounded edges, a central oval design and a weight of only 95 grams, the OHealth H1 differs from the designs of traditional medical devices in the industry.

This design makes it easy for users to carry the OHealth H1 with them everywhere and helps them integrate regular health measurements into their daily routines. Developed for OPPO’s goal of building a bridge for better health services, OHealth H1 offers smart, professional and convenient health solutions to users, hospitals and clinics.

OPPO also introduced the MariSilicon Y Bluetooth audio SoC (Stereo Optical Compressor), the second member of the MariSilicon family, following the MariSilicon X, its first self-developed dedicated imaging NPU. Being one of the first SoCs to use the most advanced N6RF processing technology, MariSilicon Y offers a brand new Pro Bluetooth Package developed by itself. This package increases Bluetooth bandwidth by an enormous 50% compared to the market’s most advanced Bluetooth-enabled SoCs.

The solution is equipped with a custom NPU with proprietary URLC codec technology and on-device computing power of up to 590 GOPS. Via Bluetooth, MariSilicon Y can transmit ultra-clear lossless audio in unprecedented 24-bit/192 kHz quality. This offers the same quality as the sounds received with a wired connection, with all the advantages of a wireless connection. Thanks to the MariSilicon Y solution, users can enjoy the highest digital sound quality with wireless Bluetooth-enabled in-ear and over-the-head headphones.

OPPO’s newest aR (Assisted Reality) product, OPPO Air Glass 2, was also introduced at the event. Weighing approximately 38 grams, OPPO Air Glass 2 has a super light and durable design. Lenses that support image correction and further personalization make this product virtually indistinguishable from everyday glasses. With OPPO Air Glass 2, it will be possible to make phone calls and real-time translation, benefit from location-based navigation services, convert voices to text for hearing-impaired people, and have many other smart experiences.

  • A stronger future with Virtuous Innovation

Pete Lau, Senior Vice President and Chief Product Officer, OPPO said, “Given the challenges the tech industry is facing today, we believe that the only prerequisite for progress is to continue to innovate and overcome new obstacles. Within the framework of our ‘Inspiration Ahead’ brand motto, OPPO will continue to offer smarter products and technologies to users. We will work with more business partners to build a stronger future through Virtuous Innovation by creating new possibilities for connected smart experiences.”

For years, OPPO has continued to build its own technology ecosystem, working with partners around the world to build an open, inclusive and thriving community. More than 300,000 developers and 700,000 creators offer their products and services through OPPO’s Open Platforms. OPPO also supports developers and programmers around the world through the OPPO ColorOS Hackathon by strengthening partner communication.

Aiming to offer more solutions in technology professionals and entrepreneurs, accessibility technologies and digital health, OPPO introduced the OPPO Research Institute Innovation Accelerator in May this year. At the end of August, the top 10 projects selected from 536 applications from 39 countries and regions were announced. Each of the ten teams had the opportunity to receive investment and technological support, form commercial partnerships and promote globally, and received grants of approximately US$46,000. With the goal of ‘using the power of technology for a better life’, OPPO will continue to support its innovation activities.

Pushing the boundaries of technology with its commitment to Virtuous Innovation, OPPO continues to create new possibilities with its connected and smart experiences offered by technologies such as OHealth H1, Marisilicon Y and Air Glass 2. Continuing its commitment to openness and inclusion, OPPO inspires more collaboration, innovation and new possibilities to support a better life.
