A colorful mix of talent was waiting for “The Voice” judges again on Thursday evening. Two candidates were able to look forward to the four-part buzzer: musical student Joel Zupan (27) from Berlin-Kreuzberg and 36-year-old professional musician Matthias “Mazze” Wiesner from Chemnitz.
The entire jury even performed Michael Jackson’s hit “Man in the mirror” for the only 17-year-old Kira Bernard van der Zee from Berlin.

Sascha Salvati (36) from Dortmund was also hoping for a similar success, because he was already in the spotlight: “I can still remember this noise when hundreds of thousands of people scream because you come on stage.”
Sascha is still known from “Popstars” from 2007. At that time, the band “Room 2012” was formed with him and three other participants – and it was also a real hype. The four-man combo even appeared as the opening act for Rihanna. But the separation followed and Sascha fell into a deep hole.
“Suddenly everything was gone again. As a result, I also lost my love for music a little. ”With“ The Voice ”, Sascha now wants to find this love again:“ I hope that through my participation I will rediscover this fire in myself. If nobody turns around, that would be a humiliation. “

But that’s exactly what happened after his performance of Helene Fischer’s “Lieb mich then”!
Nobody buzzed. Only after his appearance did the jury chairs turn. Mark Forster (38) blurted out: “I know you!” When Sascha then declared that he had already won “Popstars” once, the jurors could hardly believe it.
Sarah Connor (41) was amazed with her mouth open, Forster was stunned: “How, what, how, what? You won pop stars? ”Sascha told his story and also that he is still with his bandmate Tialda van Slogteren (36) and continues to make music with her. But of course it remained with the jury’s decision.
Nico Santos (28) missed something: “Somehow I missed that in 2021. I didn’t know: what is the vision? Where do you want to go with the music? ”
The great hope was now on Elif (28), who will give eliminated talents a second chance on the “comeback stage”. Nico kept his fingers crossed: “I hope that Elif will run out of here right away.”
When Sascha then passed Elif backstage, she didn’t move and stayed on her stool. The former pop star looked visibly depressed. For him, the “The Voice” journey seemed to end there. But slowly Elif became thoughtful: “I think Sascha is really sad.”
The Dortmund resident impressed her: “You really have to muster up all your courage when you have won a casting show to go to a talent show again. Presenting yourself like that and then leaving, even though you were good? We’ll get him now! “
So a second chance for Sascha and maybe a second career as a pop star.
