The production in question will cover especially 5G base stations. Bilgin is also in the 5G field as Nokia. They are also trying to create an ecosystem in Turkey. shared. He emphasized that the most important leg of 5G is the industry.

There is only 5G in Turkey yet, but Nokia has started the production of base stations:

1 billion euros can be exported from Turkey in 10 years:

Bilgin announced that they plan to make Turkey an investment base between 5 and 10 years, in addition to the agreement they made with Karel. He shared that Karel is currently building a new factory in Ankara, Sincan.

In their simulations as Nokia It is possible to export 1 billion euros in 10 years. He said what he saw. However, he underlined that this goal can only be achieved with the arrangements and support to be made.

What will be the place of 5G in the industry? This question was answered with an example:

“5G Advanced technology is about to go live now. In 5G, latency has dropped below 20 milliseconds. This time will be reduced to 1 millisecond in 5G Advanced. You will be able to do your work with reaction times close to real time.

So what does this mean, we established the first commercial network in Turkey (Private Network/ Private Wireless). It does this, together with Türk Telekom, in Arçelik’s dish and washing machine factory in Çayırova, with the 4.5G network, which Nokia currently provides the infrastructure for. Once 5G is allowed, they will do it with 5G. Even in this state, it was observed that the works in the factory were 25% faster compared to Wi-Fi.

This means that you can do the production with 30 robots, which you can do with 40 robots, which means a huge savings.”

Bilgin also stated that as Nokia, they are in cooperation with everyone, including the Presidency Investment Office, Ministries, Tübitak and companies and institutions such as HTK and ULAK in Turkey, in order to transform the industry.

The number of 5G supported phones is not at the desired level:

5g

Will there be a 5G auction soon?Answering the question ”, Bilgin also touched on a remarkable point. He also stated that the number of phones that support 5G in our country is not at the desired level:

“A very large market for operators has not yet formed. We know that the number of phones that support 5G is not at the desired level. In addition, the investments made in 4G still have not been returned.”

Along with these and the increasing costs with the earthquake, a bad picture was also pointed out:

“[Operatörler] In the earthquake disaster we experienced in February, they incurred enormous costs. When we look at all this together, we think that a little more time is needed for 5G to be available to end users.”
