New Statement From Ethereum Rebel ETHPoW Altcoin Team!

ETHPoW the team behind the project today, of ETH He published an open letter claiming that the Proof of Work fork was “inevitable”.

As it is known, ETHPoW is being developed as a planned hard fork for Ethereum.

Led by a miner named Chandler Guo, the fork aims to leave the ETH mainnet.

Guo claims that the fork will allow miners to continue mining operations after ETH moves to Proof of Stake consensus in the merge process, called Merge.

As a result of this hard fork, two Blockchains will be created and both chains will have their own protocols and tokens.

ETHPoW Team Responds To Ethereum Classic Team Calling To Join Them

ETHPoW has released an open letter addressed to ETC Cooperative, the development team behind Ethereum Classic. This was in response to ETC Cooperative’s previous letter to Chandler Guo arguing why the ETHPoW fork could not be successful and miners should switch to ETC.

In the statement, it was argued that ETC cannot accommodate all existing ETH miners. For this reason, it has been claimed that more than one PoW fork is needed.

The ETHPoW team expressed their thoughts as follows:

“ETC’s small pool cannot accommodate ETH’s entire pool of computing power. This is a painful truth. In the face of these harsh realities, this hard fork is inevitable.”

The project also touched upon its preparations. The team said it removed the “difficulty bomb” feature from its version of the Ethereum code, among many other development changes.

The difficulty bomb is a mechanism designed by Ethereum main developers to prevent miners from interrupting Merge by making it harder to extract Ethereum blocks. ETHPoW hopes to remove this mechanism, allowing miners to easily generate new blocks when the fork occurs.

In addition to this, the ETHPoW team also informed about other developments. It is stated that it is planning an ETHPoW testnet where developers can test the fork code before it is distributed.

The team also cryptocurrency It updated its chain ID, a network identifier used to connect to wallets, and claimed to add protection against replay attacks, a type of network attack that can occur during Blockchain forks.
