Hyundai Kona, which will be sold with internal combustion, electric and hybrid units, offers a total of 5 different engine options to its users. Starting with internal combustion units, the new Kona will be offered with 1.0 T-GDI Elite and 1.6 T-GDI N Line units. The 1.0 volume version produces 120 HP of power and 200 Nm of torque. The 1.6-liter unit produces 198 hp and 265 Nm of torque. Both units are offered to users with a 7-speed DCT gearbox.
Other details we need to add about the 1.6-liter unit is that the vehicle will come with the N sports package. As you can remember from the i20 N and i30 N models, the vehicle will come with sports equipment. In addition, the N Line package will be the only model in the Kona family to offer 4-wheel drive.
When we come to the hybrid model, the 1.6-liter GDi engine welcomes us. This engine produces 145 HP of power and 261 Nm of torque. This model, on the other hand, will be sold with a 6-speed DCT transmission, not a 7-speed, apart from the internal combustion units. The new Kona manual transmission lovers will be a little offended because the car will only be sold with automatic transmission.
Finally, when we come to the fully electric version of the vehicle, the Electric Kona will be sold in our country with two different versions, standard and long range. The standard-range Kona produces 156 HP and 255 Nm of torque. Entry-level electric, it can offer a range of 360 km. The long-range version has 218 HP and 255 Nm of torque. The range of this model is stated as 434 km.
