About 17 months ago, the biggest crypto money hit took place in Turkey and Thodex CEO Faruk Fatih Özer fled abroad, leaving thousands of victims behind.
Özer’s 17-month escape adventure came to an end when he was caught in Albania recently.
Following the capture of the famous CEO, eyes were turned to the decision to extradite him to Turkey, which will be issued by the Albanian judicial authorities.
Süleyman Soylu stated that they expect a positive response to their extradition request.

Faruk Fatih Özer and Albanian citizen Edevaldo Haxhiu, who was captured with him, are expected to appear in court today.
It was stated that the Turkish authorities forwarded the documents regarding the ongoing judicial processes in Turkey to the Elbasan Court.
It was considered that when Özer went abroad, the victims carried their money in a cold wallet in the form of a flash memory. The issue that the victims were most curious about was whether they were caught together with Özer in these cryptocurrencies.
According to TRT Haber, the Turkish team in the region completed their work, but the wallets in question could not be found at the place where Özer stayed and was captured. Police are now working to find those wallets and the victims’ money.
