Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) and Ripplehave made a joint request to extend the deadline for submitting the relevant Daubert resolutions and accompanying documents to the public dossier.
Ripple and SEC Jointly Ask for Extension of Time to Make Daubert Petitions Public
In a letter dated 20 December 2022, the parties asked the court to extend the deadline until 13 January 2023. Leading XRP enthusiast and defense attorney James K. Filan shared the request.

In their request, the parties state, “Plaintiff and Defendants jointly request the court to decide that the parties should present their Daubert motion and accompanying documents in public filing on 13 January 2023, with corrections consistent with the court’s decision to seal of 19 December 2022.” made statements.
According to the parties, this request was made due to the upcoming holidays and lawyers’ schedules.
In addition, the parties stated that they requested an extension of time to submit their Daubert proposals due to the number of corrections requested by third parties and the upcoming sealing briefing schedule of the parties.

This development came less than a day after Judge Analisa Torres issued an order regarding the parties’ requests to seal documents in connection with the Daubert motion.
Reportedly, the SEC, Ripple, and non-parties requested certain portions of the documents submitted with the Daubert motions to be sealed and corrected.
The parties stated that the sealing request was necessary to protect the identities of expert witnesses and confidential business information.
