ASUS updates its laptops with next-generation technologies
Keeping up with the developing technologies, ASUS has updated its popular laptop series in accordance with 2022. At the same time, the company expanded its product family by innovating in performance, portability, cooling and display.
STRIX G15 and G17
STRIX G15 and G17, which are loved by gamers and e-sports enthusiasts, come with a similar design as last year. The product, which draws attention with its RGB lighting, comes with three different color options, just like the previous series.
Powered by AMD’s Ryzen 9 6900HX processor, the laptop comes with NVIDIA’s RTX 3080 Ti on the graphics card side. This laptop, which has a power consumption of about 150W, has 32 GB DDR5 RAM and 1TB PCIe Gen 4.0 SSD.
The device, which comes with Wi-Fi 6e technology, has two different screen technologies. These; QHD 240 Hz and Full HD 360 Hz. This panel, which is quite impressive, has a latency of 3ms and a screen-to-body ratio of 86 percent. A 90W battery with fast charging support appears in this device.
ROG ZEPHRUS DUO 16
Notable for its dual-screen ROG ZEPYHRUS DUO 16It has been completely renewed this year. Especially with the changes in the hinge design. AsusThus, it manages to fit a 16-inch laptop in a 15-inch case size, while the new design also offers improvements in terms of cooling, and is more durable because it closes the gaps in the previous version.
ROG ZEPHRUS DUO 16, which also comes with performance improvements, comes with AMD Ryzen 6980X processor and NVIDIA RTX 3080 Ti graphics card. 4 TB Gen 4 SSD and up to 64 GB of RAM are also available with this device. HDMI 2.1 port and Wi-Fi 6E are among the remarkable features that come with this device.
Of course, ROG ZEPHRUS DUO 16, which attracts the most attention with its screen features, comes with two different resolutions. These; 4K panel with 120 Hz screen refresh rate and Full HD panel with 240 Hz refresh rate. Considering that the screen is OLED, these are quite ambitious values. The second screen uses Mini LED technology and has a refresh rate of 165 Hz.
STRIX G14
The G14, which first appeared in 2021, has been renewed just like the other members of the series. One of the biggest changes was the 16:10 display standard. This allows each frame to be thinned, while an IR webcam has been added to the product. Thus, in addition to Windows Hello support, the problem of searching for cameras for online meetings is eliminated.
G14, which comes in two different color options as white and gray, has also been renewed in areas such as touchpad and keyboard. The device, which also comes with innovations in cooling, has been specially designed to offer the best thermal performance. Performance increase was achieved with AMD Ryzen 9 processor and Radeon RX 6800S GPU.
TUF F15 and F17 renewed
TUF F15 and F17, which are quite ambitious, are now powered by the 12th generation i7 12700H processor. H series processors, which are very successful in performance, are currently the most powerful mobile X86 processors. When we look at the graphics card side, we come across various models of the 3000 series. Depending on the configuration you get, this situation changes.
At the same time, DDR5 RAM support comes with these devices. Capacity varies by product as usual. On the screen side, two different options appear. These; QHD 165Hz and Full HD 300Hz. Wi-Fi 6E, Thunderbolt 4 support and PCIe 4.0 support are among the remarkable features of these products.
