A good education and high ambitions lead many Indians to the management floors of top companies.

New York, San Francisco What do the CEOs of Microsoft, Google’s mother Alphabet, Adobe and IBM have in common? They were all born in India, went to school and university there and later made it to the top of the company.
At 2.7 million, Indians make up only 0.6 percent of the US population as a whole and only six percent of the approximately 45 million foreign-born Americans. But at the top of technology companies, they are disproportionately represented.
According to observers, there are two main reasons for this: Firstly, the education at India’s top universities. On the other hand, growing up in India can prepare you mentally for a management career abroad.
