Berlin, Frankfort Only a few hours after the start of a new state subsidy for energy-saving new buildings at KfW, there is already another application freeze. The website of the state development bank read on Wednesday that the subsidies for energy-efficient new buildings had been exhausted due to the enormously high demand. “Please do not submit a new application.” A KfW spokesman confirmed this.
The Federal Ministry of Economics announced at the beginning of April that house builders can submit new applications for government subsidies for energy-saving new buildings from April 20th – specifically, this is about the so-called Efficiency House 40. A budget of one billion euros is available for new building subsidies.
Economics Minister Robert Habeck (Greens) had said that one had to be prepared for the fact that the budget would be exhausted very quickly. A spokeswoman for Habeck spoke of a big run on Wednesday. The pot of one billion euros will not be increased.
