Meta continues to layoffs!

Meta will lay off 10 thousand more people as part of the “productivity year” and close about 5 thousand open positions. The company, which has had economic hard times, will go to layoffs and restructuring in the technology department in April and in all other departments in May. Stating that the process could last until the end of 2023, Zuckerberg said that it may vary in operations outside the USA.

Announcing the dismissal on Facebook, Zuckerberg blamed the high US interest rates and global geopolitical instability in addition to the income irregularity experienced last year. In addition, the CEO announced that social media applications and artificial intelligence will continue without a break.

In addition, as part of the restructuring, managers will be asked to do the jobs that their former employees did.
