Dusseldorf For large families who want to switch to an electric car, the choice is still manageable. Almost no manufacturer has station wagons on offer. SUV models like the Tesla Model Y are usually expensive. A third row of seats is usually only offered by vans. In this respect, the Mercedes EQB could be an alternative for many families. Because for an extra charge of 1400 euros, Mercedes offers a third row of seats that can even be lowered.

At first glance, the model doesn’t seem to fit in with the company’s strategy, which is to focus primarily on the luxury class. While the future of the compact models A and B class is now openly questioned, at least the electric models are still daring to go into the middle class.
