Mercedes-Benz GenH2 broke the range record with liquid hydrogen! SDN

Daimler Truck, one of the world’s largest commercial vehicle manufacturers, has proven that hydrogen fuel cell technology will be a sustainable solution to achieve the zero carbon target in long-distance road transportation.

The Mercedes-Benz GenH2 truck, which was developed as a prototype vehicle and received approval to drive on public roads, completed its test drive by covering a distance of 1,047 km with a single filling of liquid hydrogen fuel.

The Mercedes-Benz GenH2 truck, powered by a fuel cell system provided by “cellcentric” and equipped with a liquid hydrogen fuel tank system, successfully passed the test drive under real road conditions and fully loaded with a total gross weight of 40 tons, without emitting any carbon emissions.

Dual strategy: Vehicles powered by hydrogen and battery technology

As one of the companies that signed the Paris Climate Agreement, Daimler Truck continues its efforts to fulfill its responsibilities in this regard. The company aims to introduce new carbon-neutral vehicles for transportation activities in global markets by 2039.
