Manta Netwok Preferred This Altcoin Instead of Optimism!

Manta Pacific’s ZK-application-focused network will integrate with the Polygon ecosystem through the Chain Development Kit software. This development is an important development for the altcoin project.

Manta will switch to this altcoin project instead of Optimism

Manta Netwok is a Blockchain network focusing on zero-knowledge (ZK) applications. Projes will be moving its software from OP Stack to Polygon CDK, according to an announcement made on October 16. This means that Manta’s integration into the Optimism Superchain, which is planned to happen soon, will not happen. Therefore, Manta will instead become part of the altcoin Polygon ecosystem.

The Manta network is an Ethereum layer-2 network focused on zk-based applications, including digital identity and privacy solutions. The project launched a mainnet on September 12. Additionally, it processed more than 500,000 transactions during this period. Its developers initially developed Manta as an optimistic rollup using Optimism Labs’ OP Stack software. This software aims to help create a “Super-chain” of interconnected networks that will share the same security model. However, it competes with the altcoin Polygon Chain Development Kit (CDK), which uses a different security model but is also used to create interconnected blockchain networks.

Why Manta Netwok chose Polygon

Manta said in its announcement that it chose to switch to Polygon CDK for three reasons. Firstly, with the altcoin Polygon CDK, deposits and withdrawals can be processed quickly as no time is required for ‘fraud proof’ to be presented. “Certainty is possible in minutes or seconds rather than days,” he said in the announcement. This is because “CDK leverages the security of mathematics rather than the social-economic incentives of fraud proof.

Secondly, Manta says the altcoin Polygon CDK is more “modular” and “sovereign” compared to its alternatives. It also claims to give the team more flexibility as they continue to develop features. Third, using the Polygon CDK will allow developers to create a “trusted ZK bridge to Ethereum.” In the long term, this bridge will allow users of different Polygon CDK networks to access each other’s liquidity. Thus, it will make the network part of a larger ecosystem.

The altcoin Polygon ecosystem initially consisted only of the Polygon Proof of Stake (PoS) network. cryptokoin.comAs you follow from , the Polygon team launched a second network, Polygon zkEVM, on March 27th. In June, they announced plans to integrate these two networks into a new ecosystem called “Polygon 2.0.” The rival Optimism ecosystem added a second network on August 9, when Coinbase launched the Base network. Additionally, the Optimism team launched a fraud-proof system on October 3 that it intends to use across its entire ecosystem.
