Are those who like to test their intelligence with logic questions here? We are faced with many logic questions, some of which are simple and some are difficult. Now we add a new one to them. This is our new test consists of only 3 questions and is among the shortest IQ tests.

It will probably not take you 1 minute to answer all of these questions. After answering, you will also say, “How simple are these questions”. But let’s warn ahead of time; they may seem so simple, but these questions MIT professor Shane Frederick It was featured in a research article published by Only 17 percent of those who answered these questions in the article were able to answer all of them correctly. In other words, 87 percent unfortunately did not pass the test successfully. For this reason, we recommend that you answer the questions carefully.

3 seemingly simple logic questions:

  1. The cost of 1 stick and ball is 110 TL. The stick is 100 TL more expensive than the wholesale. What is the price of the ball in this case?
  2. If 5 machines complete 5 parts in 5 minutes, how many minutes will it take for 100 machines to complete 100 parts?
  3. There is a lotus leaf in a lake. The size of the leaf doubles every day. If it takes 48 days for this leaf to cover the entire lake, how many days will it take to cover half of the lake?

Now let’s give you some time to solve the questions.

It’s really easy isn’t it?

Were these answers among the answers you gave?

  1. 10 liras
  2. 100 minutes
  3. 24 days

If you have given these answers, you will be sad to hear that they are all wrong. So let’s see what the correct answers are…

1. The stick was 100 TL more expensive than the ball, and if the ball was 10 TL, the total price should have been 120 TL.

Many people answered 10 TL in this question, but if the ball was 10 TL, the stick would be 110 TL as it was 100 TL more expensive than the ball. The sum of both would be equivalent to 120 TL. However, in our question, it was clearly stated that the total price of the two objects was 110 TL. If we buy the ball as 5 TL, we find the price of the stick as 105 TL. When we add the two prices, we get the answer of 110 TL.

2. If it takes 5 minutes for 5 machines to do 5 pieces of work, it takes 5 minutes for 1 machine to do 1 piece of work.

Well each machine need 5 minutes for 1 piece. Accordingly, 100 machines will make 100 parts in 5 minutes.

3. The leaf doubles every day. In other words, many people who answered the 24th day are wrong at this point.

If the leaf can cover the entire lake in 48 days It will be smaller by half on the 47th day. So the answer to our question is 47 here.
