Leading index rises above 15,000 points for the first time in eleven months – “DAX pops the corks too much”

Frankfurt On Thursday, the Dax rose above the 15,000 point mark for the first time in eleven months. In the morning it increased by half a percent to 15,018 points. On Wednesday it was up 1.2 percent, expanding its annual profit to more than seven percent. The major indices on Wall Street also continued to rise.

However, strategists distrust the rapid stock market upswing. Sven Streibel, chief stock strategist at DZ Bank, says, for example: “The Dax lets the corks pop too much.”

With the easing of the corona virus in China and the hope that the US Federal Reserve (Fed) will raise interest rates less sharply, there are positive signs that the two main sales markets of the Dax companies are strengthening. Meanwhile, however, the markets reflected too much optimism.
