Within the scope of the battery cell production facility investment planned to be established in our country and which will contribute to the automotive industry on a global scale, Koç Holding, Ford Motor Company and LG Energy Solution A non-binding memorandum of understanding was signed. The facility to be established in Ankara will be one of the largest battery cell production bases in Europe. The facility’s production start in 2026 and it is planned to reach an annual capacity of 25 GW hours, and as the second stage, it has been agreed to work towards increasing the capacity by 20 GW hours to reach a total of 45 GW hours in 2029.
