Dusseldorf When Airbus Chairman René Obermann is asked to judge Jeannette zu Fürstenberg’s work, he speaks of the “Champions League”. And Christian Miele, Chairman of the Board of the Federal Association of German Start-ups, thinks of this name as having a “fixed place in the international venture capital scene”.
Fürstenberg’s early investments in young companies, which have now developed into so-called unicorns with the corresponding billion dollar valuation, underscore the lyrical praise of the two top managers with business figures.
So it’s high time to pay tribute to Jeannette zu Fürstenberg’s creativity as an investor. And that’s not all: the 40-year-old mother of four not only shines as an analytical and astute financier, but also in disciplines such as networks, leadership and social commitment.
It was autumn 2016 when Jeannette zu Fürstenberg initiated her first fund under the name of the then newly founded venture capital company La Famiglia. And set out to stir up the (to this day) male-dominated scene of venture capitalists in Germany.
