Frankfurt The internet service provider and telecom group United Internet will issue the shares of its web hosting subsidiary Ionos at the lower end of the price range at EUR 18.50. This gives the company a market capitalization of 2.6 billion euros. This was announced by United Internet and minority investor Warburg Pincus on Tuesday evening. A total of just over 24 million shares were placed.
Trading in Ionos papers on the Frankfurt Stock Exchange begins this Wednesday. This is linked to the hope for a better IPO year in 2023.
United Internet and Warburg Pincus had offered the Ionos shares in a range of EUR 18.50 to EUR 22.50. However, given the situation on the markets, investors were reluctant to make inquiries.
