Asus has announced two new router models, ExpertWiFi EBM68 and EBR63, which it has developed to meet the needs of many institutions from small cafes to medium-sized businesses. So what do these devices offer users?
What does Asus ExpertWiFi EBM68 and EBR63 offer?
Asus ExpertWiFi EBM68 offers a tri-band AX7800 network system suitable for medium-sized businesses or multi-storey areas such as hotels or shops, while the dual-band AX3000 enterprise router model Asus ExpertWiFi EBR63 provides an ideal solution for cafes, small offices or home offices.
Asus brings Self-Defined Networking (SDN) and various innovations to the enterprise router ecosystem with its ExpertWiFi series. These include guest portals that can be customized with user-friendly interfaces and guides that make settings easy.
In addition, corporate information and data are protected with VLAN and VPN support. The new models simplify network expansion options and stand out with their space-saving designs. Asus ExpertWiFi application provides easy management of devices.
Introduced on ASUS ExpertWiFi EBM68 and EBR63 models, Self-Defined Networking (SDN) features up to five SSIDs to isolate and prioritize devices for various enterprise use cases and network designs.
No other router in this class yet offers this number of SSIDs. Network partitions can be created for employees, guest portals, scheduled networks, IoT networks, and VPN networks. In addition, the Scenario Explorer feature guides novice users through the network setup process.
Advanced features are automatically adjusted when the most suitable scenario for a particular business type is selected, and the process is completed in a few steps. Thanks to these tools, small and medium-sized business owners can present a stylish-looking portal for their guests and set up separate networks for their employees and IoT tools.
These new routers also support virtual local area network (VLAN) management. With 16 different profiles for VLAN management, it is possible to segment the network as wired and wireless easily, quickly and flexibly. Users can reserve an Ethernet port for added security for their company.
ASUS guest portals for guests to connect; It offers tailored solutions with custom genres, brand images and templates, and allows companies to interact with their customers in their own style.
For physical compatibility, the ExpertWiFi EBM68 model comes with a stand for wall mounting. In this way, better coverage and signal strength can be obtained in areas where space is limited. The EBR63, on the other hand, has a built-in slot that can be easily adjusted according to the user’s needs. When the router is placed on a flat surface, this section keeps the cables organized. It is also possible to wall-mount the EBR63 to save space.
Capable of connecting up to twelve nodes, ExpertWiFi routers are ready to scale to the needs of any customer, whether a small business or a large factory. Companies have the opportunity to greatly expand their networks thanks to the compatibility features of the ExpetWiFi series.
Security and privacy
Virtual private networks (VPN) have become extremely popular for most users, especially corporations. This is because these networks can provide enhanced security without affecting the comfort of use. The new ASUS ExpertWiFi router series provides protection by supporting many VPN protocols such as L2TP/IPSec, PPTP, Open VPN and WireGuard.
ASUS ExpertWiFi routers with support for site-to-site VPNs are particularly useful in remote locations such as chain stores and local offices. With cross-site VPN, company executives can quickly create their own private networks, connect all locations and share information or resources via intranets.
ASUS ExpertWiFi series also comes with AiProtection Pro. Leveraging robust cybersecurity solutions and cloud data centers in collaboration with Trend Micro™, this technology protects companies and all connected devices from cyber threats. Security management is easily done thanks to devices’ access control, secure browsing features and one-touch security scans.
Easy management
With the ASUS ExpertWiFi app, companies can set up and manage their own networks quickly and conveniently. ASUS ExpertWiFi series also allows companies with multiple separate offices or workspaces to connect all ExpertWiFi devices with a single administrator account. Thus, network devices in ASUS ExpertWiFi app can be controlled from anywhere, anytime.
These models in the ExpertWiFi series offer backup WAN access when internet service is not available or devices are unreachable. In such a case, administrators can connect one of the ExpertWiFi devices to their Android phone or iPhone with a USB cable and use that phone as a mobile hotspot for the entire local network.
ASUS ExpertWiFi lineup will soon expand with access points, wired routers and switch models. Companies will have the opportunity to create the one that suits their needs among various topologies.
