The three US tech companies Apple, Microsoft and Alphabet are among the most valuable companies in the world and, at EUR 6.4 trillion, are worth more than twice as much as the 50 largest companies in the euro zone combined.
This dominance of American corporations is also confirmed by a ranking of the top 100 companies worldwide by stock analyst Ulf Sommer. He examined the companies using various key figures such as the P/E (price-earnings ratio).
