Is it still worth buying a property this year?

Last year, from July to September, the prices for residential real estate in Germany rose by an average of twelve percent – faster than ever before. This was announced recently by the Federal Statistical Office. The market is growing rapidly, but the warnings of an end are getting bigger and bigger. For example, the Bundesbank considers many properties to be significantly overpriced. Is it still worth buying a property in 2022? What do investors have to be prepared for and how great are the risks actually? Kerstin Leitel, real estate expert at Handelsblatt, has the answers.
