However, making new statements on the subject, CEO Spencer confirmed that Game Pass will remain exclusive to Xbox and Windows in order to increase the sales of hardware and services.
The statement also raised questions about popular games such as Call of Duty, which was acquired by Microsoft with the acquisition of Activision Blizzard. Although Microsoft says that it will continue to publish the CoD series on PlayStation, it is thought that the games may be delayed.
Spencer explained that the company spends more than $1 billion a year on third-party games for Game Pass. That’s why Microsoft wants to expand Game Pass by working on Steam Deck-style portable game consoles.
