iPhone models will get the periscope lens feature!

According to Korean news company The Elec, Apple has reached an agreement with South Korean company Jahwa Electronics. According to the agreement, Jahwa Elektronik will produce periscope telephoto lenses for the new iPhone models.

Jahwa Elektronik recently announced that it will spend $155 million to establish a new periscope telephoto lens manufacturing facility. Apple, on the other hand, visited the new facilities of Jahwa Elektronik earlier last year.

Apple may invest in Jahwa Electronics

Apple often asks suppliers to set up a separate manufacturing facility for its parts. Periscope telephoto lenses are expected to be produced for new iPhone models after the company visited last year and Jahwa Elektronik announced that it will build a new facility. However, a certain process is required for the production facilities to be built and approved by Apple.

Jahwa Elektronik will manufacture telephoto lenses connected to the periscope camera system in its new production facilities. Many leaks that iPhone models will come with a periscope lens have been on the agenda since 2020. However, new estimates say that this feature will first be found in the iPhone 15 Pro model, which will be released in 2023.

The periscope lens is a system that carries the image inside the device by changing it at a 90 degree angle. The periscope camera will be used for the first time with the telephoto lens on iPhone models. Combining the two features will allow zooming without reducing the resolution of the image.
