Frankfurt There is also good news in the midst of a world of turbulent stock markets: companies on the German stock market are again paying significantly more dividends this year.

For the 2021 financial year, the 110 companies from the HDax, which combines the companies in the Dax, MDax and Tec-Dax indices, will pay out a record sum of 57 billion euros. The stock analysts Stephen Schneider and Sven Streibel from DZ Bank calculated this in a study on the current general meeting season.

The companies thus left behind the burdens of the corona pandemic, which had led to a slump in dividends in previous years. More than 60 percent of the companies observed will pay their shareholders a good third more on average in 2022 than in the previous year.
