Frankfurt The raid on Deutsche Bank continues. This Wednesday, the Cologne public prosecutor’s office not only searched the bank’s headquarters at Taunusanlage in Frankfurt, but also the apartments of ten suspects. The suspects include former co-CEO Jürgen Fitschen.
Fitschen also received private visits from investigators. He has to put up with the accusation of having signed several tax returns that may have contained incorrect information. Fitschen did not respond to inquiries. His defense attorney Hanns Feigen confirmed that he is working for Fitschen on the matter, but declined to comment.
According to the lead public prosecutor’s office in Cologne, the measures are “in connection with cum-ex transactions and related tax evasion models”. The investigators, who began their raid on Tuesday, are looking for relevant communications in the form of emails and other written correspondence.
