Intel continues to make remarkable moves in the graphics card world. Finally, according to the company, a new update released for Intel Arc graphics cards provides performance increases of up to 119 percent in more than 20 games.
Intel gears up for DX11 and DX12 with Arc update
Intel has released a new driver update for Arc Alchemist series graphics cards that promises performance increases in many popular games. The new package, version 31.0.101.4885, provides a performance increase of up to 119 percent in certain games.
The most striking among these productions is that the performance increases by 119 percent at 1080p / High graphics settings. Deus Ex: Human Revolution happened. Call of Duty: Modern Warfare and Call of Duty: Black Ops 3 experienced performance increases of 90 percent and 88 percent, respectively, at 1080p using DX11.

Intel stated that it provides performance upgrades in 20 different games covering DX11 and DX12. Some other notable improvements include Age of Empires 2: Definitive Edition’s 42 percent speedup at Ultra settings at 1080p. Forza Motorsport 7 will be 19 percent more performant at 1440p with DX12.
Intel’s performance claims come with some caveats. Even though the company announced percentage increases, it did not share actual frame rates. Additionally, the benchmarks were performed on “high-end computers” with 13th generation processors and 32 GB of RAM.
It was seen that the driver also made progress in terms of errors. Intel stated that the performance problems in Starfield have been resolved, but some errors in texture and lighting continue to occur.
