Intel 14th generation processors are starting to appear!

Intelintroduced the 13th generation Raptor Lake processors last October. Intel, which has managed to receive positive reviews from users with its new processors, is now preparing its 14th generation processors. Intel’s 14th Gen Meteor Lake processor spotted in the Linux 6.3 Kernel patch notes.

Intel 14th Gen Meteor Lake processors coming to desktop

Despite rumors that Intel has canceled the 14th Gen Meteor Lake-S Desktop family, Meteor Lake processors seem to be coming to the desktop as well. The latest information also strengthens the possibility that Intel will launch the 14th Gen Meteor Lake CPU family on the desktop platform as well.

We know that Meteor Lake-S desktop processors will host 35-65W Core i5 versions. These chips will be offered with Arrow Lake-S, which will bring to life Core i9 processors with 125W TDP. Both processors will support the brand new 800 series chipset platform.

Intel, which has been on the agenda with its decline in the processor market recently, is cutting its support for Gemini Lake Refresh processors.

The new Intel 800 series chipset platform will support Intel processors for at least two generations, including Meteor Lake-S and Arrow Lake-S. The platform will remove the existing LGA 1700/1800 socket and use the new LGA 1851 socket with a similar package size to the existing socket, ensuring heatsink compatibility remains intact.

This platform will also come with Z890, H870, B860 and H810 solutions. 800 series motherboards will also support faster DDR5 memory. According to previous information, the 800 series platform will offer the following processors in the Meteor Lake-S series:

  • MTL-S 22 (6P + 16E) / 4 Xe cores / 125W TDP
  • MTL-S 22 (6P + 16E) / 4 Xe cores / 65W TDP
  • MTL-S 22 (6P + 16E) / 4 Xe cores / 35W TDP
  • MTL-S 14 (6P + 8E) / 4 Xe cores / 65WTDP
  • MTL-S 14 (6P + 8E) / 4 Xe cores / 35WTDP
Intel 14th generation processors are stuck on the curb!

Intel Arrow Lake-S Desktop processors are expected to be offered in the following configurations:

  • Arrow Lake-S 24 (8P + 16E) / 4 Xe cores / 125W TDP
  • Arrow Lake-S 24 (8P + 16E) / 4 Xe cores / 65W TDP
  • Arrow Lake-S 24 (8P + 16E) / 4 Xe cores / 35W TDP

The fact that Intel is testing 14th Gen Meteor Lake-S processors means we will see these chipsets in desktop computers soon. So what do you think about 14th generation Intel processors? You can share your views with us in the comments section.
