Dusseldorf According to a survey, nine out of ten job seekers want salary information already in the job advertisement. However, most German employers do not comply with this request: Only a fifth of the companies that place their job advertisements on Indeed also state a salary.

This puts Germany at the bottom of the four European economies analyzed by Indeed. Employers are much more transparent in the UK, France and the Netherlands. In times of a historic shortage of specialists and managers, this becomes a problem for German companies, says Indeed labor market expert Annina Hering: “Many employers pass up the opportunity to attract talented people.”
