Undoubtedly, Elon Musk is one of the most active and influential people on Twitter!
Musk, who managed to become the topic of the agenda with almost every tweet, seems to make a lot of noise with his last tweet.
Musk, who tried to soften the friction between Shiba Inu and Dogecoin with a poem from Chinese history, again confused the minds with a famous Chinese poem called “Seven Steps Verse”. The lines of the poem loaded with metaphors are as follows:
Bean stalks ignite to boil beans,
The beans in the pot cry.
We are born from the root of selfsame,
Why do we burn each other so eagerly?
humankind
煮豆燃豆萁
豆在釜中泣
本是同根生
相煎何太急— Elon Musk (@elonmusk) November 2, 2021
Based on a historical story, the poem is based on the rivalry, war, and ultimately brotherhood relationship between Cao Pi, the founder of the Wei dynasty, and Cao Zhi.
Famous ancient poetry uses cognate stems and beans as an extended metaphor for siblings with the same parent. The “bean stalks used for boiling beans” in the poem reveal how destructive the fight was.
Although it is not fully understood what Musk is trying to do with this suggestive tweet, it can be thought that he is trying to soften the supporters of the two strong rivals, on the other hand, the title of “Humankind” (humanity) he put in the poem can of course be considered as a general reference. Let’s see how comments and replies will come to the tweet in question.
