Hunger and Poverty Line Announced

According to Türk-İş data, the hunger limit surpassed the minimum wage in the second month of the year. Accordingly, the amount of monthly food expenditure that a family of four should make in order to have a healthy, balanced and adequate diet, that is, hunger limit increased to 4,552.26 TL this month. This limit was announced as 4.249 TL last month.

The poverty line, which left the minimum wage behind in Turkey a long time ago, increased the gap this month. It covers all monthly expenses of a family of four, such as rent, utility bills, transportation, education, as well as monthly food expenditure. poverty line announced as 15,139 TL. The poverty line was announced as 13,843 TL last month.
