Huawei forms the infrastructure of many manufacturers in China with its smart car technologies. Increasing its cooperation with Chinese companies, Huawei will also power a new electric car factory. The agreement signed by JAC and Huawei aims to produce a gigafactory for “smart cars”.
Huawei and JAC are establishing an automobile factory
The factory, called the JAC × Huawei Smart Car Gigafactory Project, is planned to be built in China. The new venture of the two companies will have an annual production of 200 thousand electric vehicles. It was stated that the total investment will be around 550 million dollars.
The factory will produce electric vehicles based on two special platforms. The first DE to appeal to the mass market will be a pure electric platform. In addition, the X6 platform, powered by Huawei’s smart technologies targeting the high-end segment, will be used.
