Especially in devices such as smartphones, it became clear at MWC 2024 how pronounced this stagnation is. There was a big focus on AI concepts at the exhibition, with many companies looking at ways to integrate AI into their products.
Products such as Xiaomi’s electric car SU7 and Nubia’s foldable smartphone demonstrated the companies’ expanding product range. Nubia’s entry into the European market shows that the company is starting to establish a greater presence in the international arena.
While Samsung focused on the development of artificial intelligence-based technologies at MWC 2024, Chinese companies such as Xiaomi and Honor attracted attention by introducing their flagship smartphones. Models such as Xiaomi 14 Ultra and Honor’s Magic 6 Pro, produced in collaboration with Leica, were equipped with high technology and artificial intelligence features. These companies have also emphasized the use of artificial intelligence in their smartwatches, tablets and software.
Companies such as Lenovo and Motorola attracted attention by exhibiting their new concept products at MWC 2024. Lenovo’s transparent-screen laptop and Motorola’s flexible rollable smartphone gave us a glimpse of future technological innovations.
