Denver Warren Buffett has made his humble lifestyle a trademark. The head of the Berkshire Hathaway conglomerate is one of the richest people in the world. But the 91-year-old still lives in the house he bought in 1958 for $ 31,500.

His salary has also remained constant over the past 40 years, at $ 100,000 annually. This is particularly modest in comparison to other CEOs, who earn an average of over 24 million – and to the Wall Street bankers, who are preparing for whopping bonuses after another record year.
