How socks with a face become the face of globalization

I got to know the company Facesocks.de. At Facesocks.com, as the name might suggest, you can have socks printed with your own face. Or with the faces of friends. Maybe from enemies too. I actually think it’s nice that it’s now possible to print anything with anything. The likeness can now even adorn a living room lamp.

But I don’t want to be enlightened by my own face. But such a sock, I thought, would actually be a very good idea. When I finally held the face sock in my hands, a production error caught my eye – or I caught it. My face was partially covered by the black colored heel and toe area.
