Berlin If you want to make an appointment with a dermatologist in Berlin, you have to be patient. In a practice at the Oranienburger Tor, something is only free again at the end of June, in Invalidenstraße again in mid-July.
Statutory health insurance patients have to wait an average of almost 80 days for an appointment with a dermatologist in the capital, according to research by the RBB using data from the appointment platform Doctolib. For neurologists, it’s 62 days. It’s quicker at the orthopedist’s, where it’s an average of 26 days.
The long waiting times are not just a problem in the capital. As a statutory health insurance patient, it can generally be difficult to get an appointment with a specialist. There are also frustrating calls to practices. But there are ways to speed up the process.
