Kalyon Solar Technologies Factory, which has a closed area of ​​100 thousand square meters, adds value to life and power to the economy as one of the most important industrial facilities with high technology capability in our country. This factory, which was established with the aim of 100% domestic production of solar panels, provides employment to 1,400 people. The facility, where 4 stages of solar panel production including R&D, which is implemented for the first time in Turkey, are gathered under one roof, is the first and only in the world in this respect.

3.5 million solar panels to be produced in the factory with a solar panel production capacity of 500 MW will be used in the installation of the Karapınar Solar Power Plant. Then, the focus will be on providing domestic solutions to other power plants to be established in Turkey, as well as on export successes with new technologies to be produced.

The Karapınar Solar Power Plant, which is targeted to be completed within 2.5 years, will increase Turkey’s approximately 7 thousand MW of solar energy to 8 thousand MW. With the transition of the factory and power plant to production, an annual foreign exchange substitution of 345 million dollars will be provided.
