san francisco After the pandemic, many companies are looking for a new way of working. Google is setting standards and is in the process of bringing many of its approximately 164,000 employees back to the office. Working from home was the norm for two years. Now the Google employees should come to the office about three days a week.

This is controversial among the “Googlians”. Also because other companies such as accommodation broker Airbnb continue to give their employees a free hand in choosing their place of work.

The search engine giant, on the other hand, has opted for a system in which the salary depends on where you live. “Anyone who moves from expensive Silicon Valley to a cheaper region, for example, will have their remuneration reduced,” a Google employee told Handelsblatt.
