Dusseldorf The company Ago Energie + Anlagen cannot exactly complain about a lack of interest in their industrial heat pumps, on the contrary: the company, which has been based in Kulmbach since 1980 and has belonged to Rhein-Energie in Cologne since 2020, receives new inquiries every day. It has developed the world’s first high-temperature heat pump that works CO2-free and is experiencing a boom in demand. “There are currently a great many projects, especially in the concept phase,” says the head of thermotechnology at the company, Klaus Ramming.
The special thing about the company’s high-temperature heat pump, which provides important building blocks for the transformation of municipal and industrial heat supply in Germany: It reaches a temperature of up to 150 degrees Celsius. Industrial companies, but also municipal utilities and municipalities can use it to operate their heat supply sustainably.
