Dusseldorf Thanks to flourishing business with its adhesives, the consumer goods group Henkel is confident that it can increase sales. CEO Carsten Knobel again raised the sales forecast for 2022 on Tuesday and now expects organic sales growth of 5.5 to 7.5 percent. He had previously forecast a plus in a range of 4.5 to 6.5 percent.

Knobel also raised the sales expectations for the adhesives division, the largest in the group. In the cosmetics and detergents sectors, the sales targets remain unchanged. The Düsseldorf group confirmed its profit targets for 2022. Knobel only increased the sales forecast in mid-August.

Henkel is in the process of being remodeled, and CEO Knobel is merging the cosmetics business with the detergents division. With the new division, with sales of around ten billion euros, he wants to make Henkel more effective – but also reduce costs. With the introduction of the new organizational structure, Henkel is ahead of the originally announced schedule, emphasized Knobel before the start of an investor day, where he wants to report on the implementation of the plans in the morning.
