Smart phones, an integral part of our life became. This is an obvious fact known to everyone. However, some of us may exaggerate this situation to the extreme. Some go to the bathroom with their phones and stay there for minutes, maybe hours. from Van Yüzüncü Yıl University, which carried out a research on the subject. Assoc. Dr. Sebahattin Celikachieved a striking result.

“Those who use the phone to go to the toilet hang out on social media for 10 minutes”

Commenting on the subject, Assoc. Dr. Sebahattin Çelik made the following statements in his statements:

Hemorrhoids is a common disease. According to some studies, as age increases, after the age of 50, the population in about 60 percent He has a complaint of hemorrhoids. In parallel with this, mobile phones are now available to everyone, in every area of life. Social media is widely used in smartphones. Mistake social media addiction such situations occur. We observed that some of our patients went to the bathroom while using their mobile phones. In our outpatient clinic examinations, when patients said, ‘I’m going to the bathroom with my cell phone’, we wanted to investigate this. We conducted a joint study at our center with a hospital in Istanbul. Our aim was to determine what percentage of the population goes to the toilet with their mobile phone, while looking at social media on their mobile phone.

In our study, we had a control group without hemorrhoid complaints. 882 patients with hemorrhoid complaints and 802 patients without any hemorrhoid complaints were included in this study.. We came to interesting conclusions. In our study, we saw that; The number of people who go to the toilet with their mobile phones is very high. In both the patient and control group, people go to the toilet with their mobile phones.

We found that people who go to the toilet with their mobile phones spend more time in the sink. Prolonged periods in the anal area when spending too much time on the toilet to high pressure why is this happening. Pressure in the anal region is a risk factor in the pathogenesis of hemorrhoids. Due to this pressure, hemorrhoid complaints increase. We built our hypothesis on this. group of patients with hemorrhoids about 50 percent She goes to the bathroom on the phone. 26 percent of those who go to the washroom by phone also spend time on social media. Most take less than 10 minutes. spends time on social media.

The habit of going to the toilet with smartphones is a factor in hemorrhoid disease. is a risk factor. Our findings support this. The society should know that going to the toilet with a mobile phone is a risk factor, and if possible, get rid of the habit of using the phone to the sink and toilet. Using phones at the sink can be considered a risk factor. It is more important for their health that citizens do not go to the bathroom with their mobile phones..
