Dusseldorf The Düsseldorf auditing company Grant Thornton will audit a large company from the Dax 40 for the first time. This was confirmed by board spokesman Michael Häger in an interview with the Handelsblatt. He did not want to say which customer it was. But there could be “promptly” enforcement.

Only a few DAX companies that have not yet replaced their auditor in accordance with the statutory rotation obligation are eligible as candidates. These include the healthcare companies Sartorius and Qiagen. The consumer goods groups Beiersdorf and Zalando have not yet completed the search for a new auditor.

For Grant Thornton, the advance into the Dax would be a gain in prestige. The German company is a member of the global Grant Thornton network and belongs to a group that challenges the “Big Four”: PwC, KPMG, Deloitte and EY have so far dominated the final exam in the Dax and other stock market segments.
