Google Tensor G2 confirmed as 5nm processor
The Tensor G2 processor has been the scene of many leaks before. So much so that the processor was known to go through the 4nm production process even in Pixel 7 introductions and with 8 cores in the form of 2x 2.85 GHz ARM Cortex-X1, 2x 2.35 GHz ARM Cortex-A76 and 4x 1.8 GHz ARM Cortex-A55. On the GPU side, the processor with Mali-G710 was claimed to be produced as 5nm.
During the opening speech of the Pixel 7 series, it was said that the processor had a 60 percent speed and 20 percent efficiency increase compared to its predecessor. It was claimed that the processor showed 4nm performance in the promotion, which did not include a statement about the production process. However, a Google spokesperson confirmed to Android Authority that the Tensor G2 was actually created using a 5nm process. The company spokesperson made the following statements in his speech;
