Google decided to bring back the App Permissions tab

Mobile devices, which are indispensable in daily life, are a safe that contains important and personal data. However, there are some malicious people trying to infiltrate this safe and capture the data. As of today, there are hundreds of applications that secretly contain trojans and endanger the security of users.

Such software somehow manages to pass inspections and be listed in application stores such as the Play Store. Google also made some changes in May and announced that the Data Security feature would replace the Application Permissions tab, which has been in use for a while. However, the company decided to take a step back after the backlash.

Google will bring back the App Permissions tab

App Permissions was a handy tool that users checked before installing an app on their phone. Thanks to the feature, which was created automatically with the tools developed by Google, we could examine the applications and see what permissions they needed.

Google decided to remove the tab on the grounds that it was not enough and replace it with the Data Security feature introduced in May. In the new function, the data is prepared by the app developers, and the company even gave the developers a deadline to provide the necessary information.

Users did not like the fact that the developers would prepare the information in the Data Security feature. While the company has become the focus of criticism, analysts also underlined that the function has the potential to cause security problems. -Despite Google’s announcement that it will punish developers who provide false information-

According to the latest information, Google listened to the reactions from users and took a step back on the subject. The company announced that the removed tab will come back, based on the feedback from its statement. However, there is no exact date or timeframe given here. It should be noted that the Data Security function will not be removed.
