IT specialists continue to have good chances of finding a job with the DAX companies. Two energy companies are also looking hard for new staff.

Dusseldorf Applicants have good chances on the job market because companies are looking for staff on a massive scale. This trend from last year is expected to continue in 2023. In January, the 40 companies listed in the Dax advertised 27,263 jobs, as the job exchange Indeed collected exclusively for the Handelsblatt. That is twelve percent more than in January 2022.
There is usually a seasonal effect at the beginning of the year. “The level of vacancies is generally lower in January than in December,” explains Enzo Weber, labor market expert at the Institute for Labor Market and Occupational Research (IAB). The positions of the employees who started at the beginning of 2023 had already been advertised in the past few months.
